There are seven types of Variable Spring Hangers Support, denoted by the letters A – G as detailed below. The primary difference among these types is in the manner in which they are support to the Pipe Line. So, the Installation Manual will be different for each of the Spring Hanger Support. Detailed Installation Manuals are shown in Figure – 3 to Figure 9. Generally, these Spring Hanger supports are provided with pipe clamp attachment & with clevis attachment as well to hold the pipe line. Here is a small introduction to all of these Spring Hanger Supports.
A – Type |
: | This type of support is suitable where there is sufficient installing space. It is mainly provided with a threaded bushing in the top plate, in order for a simple rod attachment for the upper ?connection. |
B & C Type |
: | These type of supports is mainly used where installing space is limited . It is generally ?furnished with one or two lugs welded to the top plate of the casing. |
D & E Type |
: | These type of support is suitable where Spring box/ casing. For Type “D” a rod adjustment is permitted from the top. For Type “E” a rod adjustment is permitted from either above or below the spring. |
F – Type |
: | This type of support is designed to support the piping upward, i.e. from below, directly from the base/floor or supporting steel. An adjustment in height is available by turning the load?column and for fastening four holes are drilled at the base plate. |
G – Type |
: | This type of support is generally formed by welding two standard variable spring supports back to back at the ends of a pair of channels. |
